Nigel Mitchell
Nigel Mitchell is a very versatile, experienced and likeable broadcaster who is currently the on-screen face of Arsenal Football Club. He is very proud to present the Matchday Show in front of over 60,000 people for every home fixture at Emirates Stadium as well as various high profile events and videos for the Club and their global partners.
So far in his 10 years at Arsenal he has worked with the likes of Emirates, Barclays, MBNA, Betfair, Octopus Energy, Carlsberg and Vitality and for the past 4 years Nigel has anchored live broadcasts of the global kit launches for PUMA in Singapore, Hollywood, Sydney and of course, London.
Nigel’s voice is broadcast in over 100 countries and at 30,000ft on Emirates Airlines for Arsenal’s International magazine programme ‘Arsenal World’ and he regularly hosts VIP tours of Emirates Stadium too which give Arsenal fans the chance to hear from Arsenal and England Legends David Seaman, Ray Parlour, Martin Keown and Lee Dixon. During these 2 hour interviews with each Legend, conducted whilst taking fans on a behind the scenes look at the home of football, Nigel has often managed to get the former players to reveal some incredible stories that have never been heard before.
Elsewhere Nigel fronts the annual Premier League Schools Tournament which for the past few seasons has seen him work at Anfield, The Etihad, Goodison Park and Stamford Bridge however being an Arsenal man through and through Nigel took great pleasure in announcing The Gunners as the winners of the competition… at White Hart Lane! Away from football some of Nigel’s other corporate clients currently include the likes of DixonsCarphone, The Times Academy, Camelot and Circus Street.
Nigel’s likeable character and presenting style has always appealed to audiences of all ages and he regularly hosted The Hub on ITV’s flagship daytime show This Morning having learnt his trade at Nickelodeon in the mid 90s. After a brief break to take his A-Levels he then joined Disney Channel to front their live afternoon show Studio Disney. In his time at Disney Nigel also presented 6 BAFTA Award winning Kids Awards shows on stage at both The London Arena and The Royal Albert Hall. He was a presenter for CITV too hosting the magazine show Sticky and the game shows Mad For It and Twister.
Also a talent on radio Nigel has broadcast on the likes of The Heart Network, Heat Radio, NonStop80sRadio and BBC Cambridgeshire. He was part of the Sony Gold Award winning team at Capital Disney too where he presented and produced his own weekly show.
Nigel holds a Guinness World Record for something very complicated but it basically involved going on lots of roller coasters for the purposes of a television item and when he’s not behind a mic, in front of a camera or watching Arsenal Nigel enjoys being a tourist in his own city of London and trying to hit a golf ball in vaguely the right direction. Fortunately Nigel also loves walking so if the golf isn’t really ‘working’ it never really matters!
