Crown Football Round-Up (20/12/2019)

17-year-old Taylor Harwood-Bellis made his debut in the Champions League for Man City last week. Taylor was subbed on at the 80th minute as the team secured a 4-1 victory of Dinamo Zagreb. The week only got better for Taylor as he was called up to the first team again for their Carabao Cup quarter final against Oxford United. Taylor was named in the starting 11 and put in a brilliant 90 minute shift. Speaking in his post match interview alongside Raheem Sterling, Taylor said, It's always fantastic to play for City's first team - it's a dream come true."I just need to tale my chances when they come along and make sure I'm in the manager's mind." After the interview Taylor was awarded the Man of The Match award by fellow team-mate Raheem Sterling. Congratulations Taylor!

Kyle Joseph bagged 4 goals and Mackenzie ONeill also made it onto the scoresheet for Wigan Athletic U18's in their FA Youth Cup match against Croydon FC. The team ended up with a solid 8-1, allowing them to progress to the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup. They will host Tottenham Hotspur DW Stadium in the New Year.


Henry Lawrence scored the equaliser for Chelsea U23's in their match against Liverpool. Henry arrowed an effort into the top corner from range 14 minutes from time. The points were shared in Liverpool and the Blues remain unbeaten in PL2 going into the New Year.
