Crown Football Round-Up (29/03/2019)

Taylor Harwood-Bellis represented and captained the England U17 side for the three European qualifier matches. The England U17s made a winning start to their Euro qualifying round on last week, with a 5-2 victory over Switzerland. They were then held to a draw against Croatia and a final dramatic 3-2 win over Denmark saw the Young Lions seal the top qualifying spot of their group.


Stephen Duke McKenna was also in international action and represented Guyana in the recent international break. Stephen replaced Emery Welshman with 11 minutes to spare as Guyana defeated Belize 2-1 in the CONCACAF Nations League fixture. Guyana earned their first ever place at the Concacaf Gold Cup.


Matt Jay has now scored 3 goals in 4 games for Exeter City. Matt's first half strike put the Grecians ahead on the cusp of half-time and also earned him a man of the match performance. Watch his stunning goal below:




Ben Sheaf headed to Dubai with the Arsenal first team for their mid-season break. Ben featured in Arsenal’s starting 11 for their friendly against Al-Nasr, which they won 3-2. Ben played a full 90 minutes for Arsenal in the midfield position alongside Charlie Gilmour.


18-year-old Gabriel Rogers made his professional debut for Yeovil Town at the weekend, and played a full 90 minutes against MK Dons. Gabby played on the right wing alongside Matt Worthington and Jake Gray. Congratulations on your debut Gabby!
