Laura Hamilton is a TV Presenter, Property & Travel Expert & Entrepreneur. Laura is also a regular face on ITV’s This Morning covering both LIVE and Feature VT’s.

She is probably best known for presenting Channel 4’s A Place in The Sun and has also presented several shows for ITV, Channel 4 & Channel 5 which include ‘Beat my Build’ (which saw participants renovating their projects and competing against each other to win a cash prize), ‘Cowboy Builders and Bodge Jobs’ for Channel 5 as well as 5 series of ‘Fort Boyard’ for ITV.

Laura began her TV career age 18 as a runner for Channel 4.  She worked for 4 years behind the scenes before getting a break in front of the camera.

Whilst starting out in TV Laura also found a passion for property. With her entrepreneurial side, she knew she had to have another career alongside Television, and property was just that.  She renovated her first flat age 19, and has developed 17 properties to date.  This includes her first commercial venture in 2017 ‘Lord Roberts on The Green’.  At the beginning of 2022, Laura started renovating her current home and has filmed the process calling it ‘The Rebuild’. She knocked down every wall in the property (which comes with its own Folly), and has tried to future proof an old property with solar panels, and air source heat pump and is hopefully going to be almost ‘off grid’.

Laura rescued her local village shop in 2017.  She qualified as the local Post Mistress, set up the coffee shop and bistro ‘Lord Roberts on The Green’, recruited 24 staff and built the brand.  She became a landlady and got an alcohol license for the premises and created a local gem in her community. Laura has since sold ‘Lord Roberts on The Green’.

Always keen to embark on a challenge, in 2014 Laura took part in the first series of ‘The Jump’ (just four weeks after the birth of her first child Rocco). In 2011 Laura was crowned runner-up of the popular ITV series ‘Dancing on Ice’ where she wowed audiences with her headbanger.  It is fair to say Laura embraces any challenge she is faced with and it’s no surprise she is now following in her Fathers footsteps to get her privates pilots license.

Laura is an ITP sufferer.  She first discovered she had this auto immune disease 7 years ago and is proud to offer support and advice to any fellow sufferers.  She is happy, positive and passionate about life!
