Joey Bevan is set to be one of the breakout stars of BBC One’s new fashion make-over series ‘You Are What You Wear’. Joey will be part of Rylan’s style squad in this feel good show, all about how you look on the outside matching how you feel on the inside. It will air later this summer.
A trained tailor, Joey has used his creative flair and eye for design to create and construct beautiful one off garments. With the success of his first introductory fashion show in the summer of 2010 Joey was head-hunted for Britain's Next Top Model Live 2010 and The Ideal Home Show 2011. His designs & styling have featured on the X Factor, BINTM, ANTM, Vogue IT, INSTYLE, MTA and many more editorials, TV and music videos. In 2014 he was fortunate enough to be commissioned to create 30 bespoke garments for the Queen’s Coronation Festival at Buckingham Palace.
Essex born and based, Joey is a fashion designer who likes to push boundaries and think outside the box; so it comes as no surprise that he has been tipped by the national press as ‘one to watch’ from You Are What You Wear.
Joey has worked with a multitude of celebrity clients including Lady Gaga, Little Mix, Jessie J, the Saturdays and Aggro Santos and he counts the likes of L’Oreal, Urban Decay, D&G, Dior and Disney amongst his commercial clients.
As well as styling and designing, Joey is also an in demand fashion writer and has been published in the UK, USA, Spain, France, Canada, Germany, Belgium, Cyprus, Greece, Asia, Middle East and Africa.
Winning a national award for 'Inspirational Youth of the Year 2013'', Joey continues to inspire and build his influence in the fashion world.
Joey is an Ambassador for Mental Health, LGBTQ+ and writes a food blog ‘The Stylish Homecook’. He is passionate about Travel and loves to combine this love with those of food and fashion. He lives at home with his dog Buddy who also has his own Instagram page @buddybevan
